First of please introduce yourself and your site to our readers?

My name is Ben. I live in Quebec, in Canada. I've always wanted to be able to own a HUMMER H2, ever since I was 5 years old. But after working, year after year, it just doesn't seem possible. So I thought, why not offer people a place to advertise their websites or affiliate programs and then maybe I will be able to afford a HUMMER H2 then.

Most people have been inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, where did you get your inspiration from?

Mainly from the original Million Dollar Homepage too.

What software do you use to run your pixel page and why did you choose it?

Macromedia Dreamweaver for the HTML, Notepad for the ASP, Photoshop for the graphics and Microsoft SQL for the database.

What makes your site different or special, what angle have you taken for your Pixel page?

I give more in return. Each pixel is 10 cents so a block is $10 CAN (~ $8.53 USD). That's cheap! Also, the largest purchaser of blocks will get its advertisement printed on my HUMMER H2 for a full year. Payment can be made by PayPal or StormPay.

The original pixel page generated traffic mainly through viral marketing mainly spawned by media interest, how do you generate traffic to your site?

Beside viral marketing, I try to list SponsorMyHUMMER.com on every search engine, every pixel list sites, etc.

What do you offer potential advertisers, how much do you charge and how much traffic do you envisage an advertiser could generate by advertising with you?

First, all price are quoted in Canadian Dollars. Each pixel is $0.10 so a block is $10. After that, you can add other cool options like your animated GIF image for + $6 per block, and a 300x200 pixels hover-ad for + $100. Since I started this site one week ago, I cannot predict how much traffic it will get.

Currently the top 5 Alexa ranked pixel sites enjoy a lot of interest from the public. How long do you think this will last, is there a long term future for pixel pages?

I hope it last long enough for me! In order to be successful, you have to offer a unique concept, a site different from the other one out there.

Besides your own pixel page, which other pixel page do you secretly admire and why?

Every pixel page with a unique concept. I don't like copy-cats or site based on the Million Dollar Homepage script.
