Interview with Truckerspixels.

First of please introduce yourself and your site to our readers?

I am Jack Douglas from jackdouglasdesign.com. Have been in design for the past 10 years.

Most people have been inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, where did you get your inspiration from?

While Million Dollar Homepage was certainly a major inspiration, we were more impressed with the growing number of pixel ad sites out there.

What software do you use to run your pixel page and why did you choose it?

We're running the PHP Million Dollar Script as it appeared to be the most popular.

What makes your site different or special, what angle have you taken for your Pixel page?

Our pixel sites (we are launching 15 sites) are all very niche specific. Our client base is mostly transportation and entertainment and we are marketing our pixel sites first and foremost to our user database.

The original pixel page generated traffic mainly through viral marketing mainly spawned by media interest, how do you generate traffic to your site?

Our traffic is totally niche specific and generated through our own network of client and advertiser sites.

What do you offer potential advertisers, how much do you charge and how much traffic do you envisage an advertiser could generate by advertising with you?

Our prices at Truckers Pixels are .50 and .25 respectively. We are already getting some traffic through our own advertisers and will be generating most of our traffic through newsletter and banner ads. We anticipate generating approx. 10K to 15K visitors a day in a very short period of time based from our own network. Our advertisers will generate specific traffic based solely on their niche.

Currently the top 5 Alexa ranked pixel sites enjoy a lot of interest from the public. How long do you think this will last, is there a long term future for pixel pages?

I think it will last for a while but I also think the price per pixel will drop dramatically as the web traffic becomes more familiar with the idea.

Besides your own pixel page, which other pixel page do you secretly admire and why?

I admire any site that generates revenue :-).
