Million Dollar Wiki

We've seen the Million dollar homepage (pixel page), tag pages and bid directories so what's next. Well Graham Langdon a university student in Connecticut has come up with the Million Dollar Wiki (Milliondollarwiki.com). It's a Wiki like Wikipedia except you pay to have your own page.

It may sound crazy, who would pay $100 for a page on some students site? That's exactly what Alex Tew did for pixels and now he is a millionaire. Graham plans on selling 10,000 pages to make a million and he's of to a flying start having sold over 100 pages already (that's over $10,000).

Will it work

There is currently a lot of buzz in the media at the moment and that means lots of links to the site. This initial buzz will continue as more people buy pages reinforcing the idea that 'people need to buy there own page' before it's too late. As the interest is similar to the Million dollar homepage you can safely say it will be a success for a while, at least for Graham.

How it works

The MillionDollarWiki is selling individual pages in it's wiki. Each page has a unique keyword of which the popular keywords are being snapped up. The idea is that you will get traffic from your page because of the popularity of the wiki.

Copy cats

It's very likely that there will be a number of copy cat Million Dollar Wiki sites appearing. These sites will never be as successful as the original but many of the Million dollar homepage copy cats have done quite well for themselves.
