The 10k giveaway

Brian Clark is a man on a mission. He has recently launched a new Million Dollar Homepage clone called the 10k give away and purports to be giving away $10,000USD once the page is sold out which he reckons will be in a few months.

In a blatant ripoff of The Million Dollar Homepage - I’ve decided to replicate this, and improve upon an already great idea. I’m selling ad spaces for $10 and part of the money will go right back to one lucky winner!

If you've ever started such a page it may sound like bravado claiming to be able to sell out in a couple of months. He also claims that he will fly out and deliver the winners money personally.

This idea stems from Brian's blog One mans goal which gives you some insight into his determination. He has also acquired some influential friends to help create buzz such as Yaro Stark who is considered a pro blogger.

This seems to be a similar tack that Graham Langdon of the Million Dollar Wiki has taken when he managed to get John Chow to help promote his site. If anything can be learned from this is if you are going to create a Million dollar homepage clone then you need to create buzz and get the help of someone influential.
